Press from Atlanta Daily Candy Kids

It's twenty minutes past midnight and I am wired. For the last several hours, I have been anxiously awaiting the latest post to the Atlanta Daily Candy Kids homepage. I'm a little compulsive when it comes to things I'm excited about. And for good reason! I got a call on Friday afternoon that the editorial department wanted to run a short story on Petey Pie's!!!! I cannot tell you what an honor it is to get recognition for your hard work! Take a minute to head on over to the Daily Candy and be sure to also check out the changes to the Petey Pie's website. As always, thank you all so much for your continued support and for allowing me to do something that I love!

Petey Pie's does custom orders too!

Over the last few months, I have received several custom order requests. I love custom orders because many of them are one of a kind! Here are a few of my favorites:

A customer sent me these precious seersucker jumpers to applique.

Custom order for a local bar owner and soon to be dad.

Custom order for a Eastern Carolina football fan.

Custom Order for a Braves baseball fan.

Custom order bib.

This customer asked me to design four shirts to interchange with the shorts below.

Quick trip to the beach

Sometimes we all need a little vacation to get the wind back in our sails. On Wednesday night, we packed up and headed to Fernandina for a long weekend. Although most of our stay was spent indoors waiting on the afternoon storms to pass, we came back rested and ready to tackle another week.

The rain also gave me a chance to start planning for Petey Pie's fall line. I'm thinking pumpkins, Labrador retrievers, dump trucks, farm scenes, plaids, corduroys, pink and brown checks, and of course, football! Please feel free to leave a comment on what you would like to see in my summer and/or fall collection!

Monogramming is a southern tradition

I am a lover of all things monogrammed. One day, I will have a house full of monogrammed sheets, pillows, towels, picture frames, plates....the list could go on and on. The truth of the matter is that I think things look better personalized. They look polished. And complete. While I have yet to purchase my own embroidery machine, I have found applique monograms to be just as cute and fun! Petey Pie's summer collection offers twelve personalized shirts; here are just a few of them.
